The Clinic

Warragul Osteopathic Clinic was founded in 2007 when proprietor Dr Tania McDonald moved to the region. It has since grown to a team of ten osteopaths and five administration staff.

All Osteopaths at WOC are government registered primary health care practitioners, and have completed a five-year university degree. Trained in all aspects of anatomy, physiology and general medical diagnosis, each osteopath is able to recognise patients requiring further referral.

Patient rapport and trust, positive therapeutic outcomes and ongoing professional development have been the driving force behind the clinic’s strong following of patients from all ages and lifestyles. Drawn from the immediate local region including Warragul and Drouin, many patients travel from the South East corridor including Pakenham, Berwick and Cranbourne and through the Latrobe Valley as far as Traralgon.

A strong relationship with medical and allied health professionals both locally and in Melbourne enables optimum health outcomes for every patient.

OSTEOPATHY

Osteopaths use a holistic approach to their diagnosis and recognise the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions. Osteopaths can identify the cause of the pain or injury, and develop a treatment and rehabilitation plan to get your body functioning at its best.

Your osteopath will address dysfunction in the joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments and associated connective tissues to improve range of motion and reduce tension and swelling.

At WOC we use a combination of hands on techniques including soft tissue massage, joint manipulation, fascial release techniques, muscle energy technique, dry needling, rehabilitation and cranial osteopathy.

Each individual patient will have a tailored treatment plan based on their history, presenting complaint and response to various treatment techniques.

Osteopathy is covered by most private health funds, and the Medicare CDM (Chronic Disease Management) scheme. Osteopaths are registered for TAC, DVA and WorkCover.
